Abstract
The Society for Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM) supports ethical research that is aimed at improving patient care. Regulations aimed at managing conflicts of interest have gained national prominence in professional medical societies and in the government and are endorsed by concerned patients. SAEM encourages appropriate relationships between medicine and the biomedical industry.
