Abstract
This interactive, practical presentation highlights critical issues in classroom assessment in English language teaching. Two specialists present the why, what, and how of language assessment with a focus on assessment for placement (determining appropriate level) and diagnostic assessment (identification of students’ areas of difficulty and strength) in classroom contexts.
