Strategies for Achieving Fair and Equitable L2 Writing Assessment
Research shows that even the most open-minded have biases (good and bad) toward various social groups. The presenters review research on bias and its effects on L2 writing assessment. They then provide faculty with tools for recognizing bias in their grading and achieving more equitable assessment.
