The Fall 2016 Ohio IR Day Meeting took place on October 5, 2016 at the State Library of Ohio. The focus of the meeting was tools, tips, and tricks to streamline your workflow. The schedule included a featured speaker, lightning round presentations, and birds of a feather discussions.
Our featured speaker was Bill McMillin, Digital Metadata Librarian from the University of Cincinnati Libraries, who presented on Garbage Reconciliation: Data Cleaning and Linking. This session will demonstrate how OpenRefine can clean messy data.
Lightning round topics were "How We Added 100 Yearbooks to our IR," "Detailed Search Stats from DSpace to Solr," and "Open Access: What is the Climate for OA Publishing and Institutional Repositories in Ohio in 2016?" Presentations can be accessed below.
