Description
This second in a series of interviews with Dr. David Buzzard, first Director of Communications for the Wright State University School of Medicine, is divided into two parts. The first part of the interview deals with the interactions of the School of Medicine and institutions outside of Wright State University; the area hospitals, the mergers with other major medical research organizations, the Drew Health Center, the Veterans Administration, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, the development of the School of Medicine newsletter ("Vital Signs") and the student outreach programs of the School of Medicine.
The second part of the interview deals with the theme of the on-campus development of the School of Medicine, covering: internal program development in the School of Medicine Communications Department, the visits of the Liason [sic] Committee on Medical Education (LCME), the integration of the School of Medicine with the Wright State University campus, the Executive Committee of the School of Medicine, and the development of the School of Medicine Development Office. This second interview concludes with Dr. Buzzard's thoughts on the future of the Wright State University School of Medicine.
