Description
This is the third in a series of interviews with Ms. Deborah Richardson, third year medical student in the Wright State University School of Medicine. In this interview, Ms. Richardson continues her discussion of her experiences as an undergraduate medical student at Wright State University.
In the first part of the interview, Ms. Richardson talks about her first selective at the end of her first year. She then goes on to describe her work at Childrens Medical Center during the summer and her second selective in Sports Medicine prior to beginning her second year.
In the second part of the interview Ms. Richardson discusses her second year as a medical student, beginning with her activities in the Orientation for incoming first-year students and continuing with a discussion of her classes and her leadership activities and responsibilities as the School of Medicine Representative to the Wright State University Student Government.
In the third part of the interview, Ms. Richardson discusses a very important milestone in the education of the medical student and the National Boards Examination. She relates her own experiences studying for the Boards and in taking the Examination.
Ms. Richardson closes the interview with a discussion of her experiences as an observer and group leader in the School of Medicine's Weekend Intervention Program.
