Abstract
In November 2001, the UK Health Secretary, Mr Alan Milburn, gave the ‘go-ahead’ to deny patients treatment if they attack NHS staff. This radical move forms part of the sustained ‘zero tolerance zone’ campaign that the present Government supports.
