Department Chair: Ann M Stalter, Ph.D, RN

The School of Nursing, Kinesiology, and Health Sciences was established when the College of Health, Education, and Human Services was formed in Fall 2021. Some of the programs, however, date back to soon after the university opened in 1967. You can choose from programs that focus on helping others—and our focus is on helping you get there.

Pursue a bachelor’s degree in nursing, health and physical education, public health education, or sports science. Enhance your career opportunities by continuing on to earn a master’s degree in a related field. The nursing program offers advanced preparation in specialty areas such as adult-gerontology acute care, neonatal, pediatrics, psychiatric/mental health, health care systems administration, and family practice. You can also pursue a master’s degree in public health or sports management.
