Abstract
We present our compilation of electron-impact cross sections for use in modeling the ionospheres/thermospheres of the Earth and planets. The sixteen species included are N2, O2, O, CO2, CO, NO, Ar, C, N, H, H2, He, CH4, C2H2, C2H4, and C2H6. The processes include electron-impact vibrational excitation, electronic excitation, ionization, ionization and excitation, and dissociative ionization. A table for each species is presented that includes the processes and the cross section references. Plots of selected cross sections are also shown.
