Abstract
The presenters will summarize the results of a research study conducted by NADD with a research team including Jeanne Farr, D. Julie Gentile and Dr. Kristin McGill. The context of the study is the shared belief that there is a rich source of collective wisdom from our fellow professionals around the world and we can learn a great deal from one another. The aim of the study was to learn from clinical professionals from 20 countries regarding what they did to pivot and respond quickly to the unplanned circumstances we all faced in our work with people with intellectual disabilities and mental health conditions. The study looked at what did and did not work as clinicians and service providers navigated through the everchanging and uncertain environment of the global Pandemic.
