Description
The photograph shows the Miami Military Institute football team, posed on a field adjacent to the school grounds, 1902. The man standing in the back row, 4th from the left, is Kleon Thaw Brown the youngest brother of Orvon Graff Brown, founder and president of Miami Military Institute. A cadet laying on the ground in the center of the group is holding a football with 1902 written on the side. The field adjacent to the Miami Military Institute is now known as Veterans Memorial Park and Warren Street is behind the group. The photograph is from an album in the Martha McClellan Brown Collection.
