The photograph is of a group of Miami Military Institute cadets and faculty seated on a hill in a wooded area, ca. 1903. Cadets are wearing fatigue uniforms. The faculty member standing, far left, is Orvon Graff Brown, founder and president of Miami Military Institute. The cadet seated in the center of the last row with his hat set back on his head is Kleon Thaw Brown, youngest brother of Orvon Graff Brown. This photograph is from an album in the Martha McClellan Brown Collection.
