    Description

    The photograph is of fire damage to the Miami Military Institute school building, December, 1903. A fire of unknown origin broke out while cadets and faculty were attending Sunday church services on December 6, 1903, causing extensive damage to the school building. The photo is taken a short distance from the building and shows the charred remains of the exterior walls; the roof and interior of the building are completely destroyed. This photo is from an album in the Martha McClellan Brown Collection.
