Description
The Wright 1905 Flyer at Huffman Prairie, near Dayton, taking off on the first flight of 1905 with Orville Wright as the pilot. Note on the reverse by Orville Wright "The 1905 motor at Simms Station near Dayton. The machine has just left the starting track its own propulsion being assisted by a falling weight cable rigged to the derrick for use in calm weather."
