The Cold War Aerospace Technology Archive Project documents the development of aerospace technology during the Cold War through the personal accounts and manuscript collections of the persons involved in or directly affected by those activities or events.

Designed to encompass the Cold War as a study era, the project’s period of significance is 1946-1991. The primary focus of the project is on aerospace technology emerging from the Miami Valley region of Ohio, including Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and Monsanto Mound Laboratory. Through this project, information about the creation and development of aerospace technology during the Cold War not available or documented elsewhere will be gathered and preserved at the Special Collections and Archives department of Wright State University Libraries. All work is performed according to current archival best practices and to the standards of the Oral History Association.

For more information on this collection, please view the collection finding aid or visit Wright State University Special Collections and Archives.
