Abstract

The article examines the influence of gender in the prevalence of hernia infection. The author discusses the causes of ventral hernias which include trauma and congenital problems and offers the result of the study from different risk factors being focused in the study showing that females and patients who have undergone trauma surgery will likely experience postoperative infection. Also presented is a table that shows clinical characteristics of patients and the risk factors for infection.
