University College (UC) is a national model recognized for programs such as: First-Year Experience, Common Text, Learning Communities, Supplemental Instruction, and Service Learning with Civic Engagement.
University College serves as the academic home for over 3,000 students, making them the largest College on the Wright State University Campus. Professional Academic Advisors assist students in a successful transition into the college or major of their choice, while also providing services through our Academic Success Centers to ensure student academic achievement.
Additionally, University College collaborates with all Wright State's degree-granting colleges to provide more than 50 first-year seminars, serving about 1,000 freshmen who share academic and social interests. These small first-year seminars feature knowledgeable faculty and staff instructors, as well as peer mentors.
