Description
This one-hour workshop will be lead by psychologists: Eileen Cronin, Julie Williams, Alette Coble-Temple, and Kayoko Yokoyama. There will be a 15 minute description of the success of the Gay-Straight Alliance and an explanation of how and why a similar model could bolster the successful inclusion of people with disabilities in health care, in schools, and in the workforce. The next fifteen minutes will be allocated to smaller group discussions with the audience divided into task forces on health care, schools, and workforce. We will then open the discussion for identifying committee positions and finally to assign volunteers to the various committees.
