Abstract

A grading system includes the assessments, formula used to determine grades, and the data management and reporting system to clearly communicate to all stakeholders the extent to which learning outcomes were achieved. We will describe the process to determine standards-based grades and weighted standards-based grades as well as how to convert three-level rubric scores into letter grades. We will share our experiences and strategies to align the grading system with our standards, assessments and curriculum.
