Abstract
The article points out that enhanced levels of worker safety and health continue to be increasingly essential in Mexico as the country competes in the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) market in the world for its share. Mexico will also have to serve as a model for occupational safety and health standards in the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA). However, worker safety and health developments in Mexico will be closely followed by its trade partners in NAFTA and CAFTA and the world.
