In this interview, Mr. Raymond A. Palmer, first Health Sciences Librarian of the Wright State University School of Medicine, discusses the initial development and the first years of the Health Sciences Library. Particular attention is focused on his background, his coming to Wright State University, his initial activities and priorities as Health Sciences Librarian of a new School of Medicine, the development and growth of the Health Sciences Library, and his responsibilities and activities in the school and with the area hospitals. Important areas in the interview also include Mr. Palmer's perceptions of the overall School of Medicine development and his views on the future of the Wright State University School of Medicine.
