Magnetic Properties of Melt-Processed Ni-Substituted YBCO

Abstract
A maximum in the magnetization critical current density is observed in melt-processed Ni-substituted YBCO below the Ni-solubility limit. Multi-component granular effects dominate the bulk properties, leading to increased flux pinning.
